Founded in Japan in 1936, the Tsuge company originally manufactured ivory cigarette holders. After World War II, work began on tobacco pipes in cherry wood, than progressed to high quality briars in standard shapes. In the 1970s, craftsmen were sent to Denmark and Italy to study freehand pipe carving. This was the beginning of Tsuge Ikebana pipes.
Each Ikebana pipe is a unique creation. We hand select pipes once a year at the RTDA trade show and proudly offer them for your consideration.
